The Club has a range of other competitions for members to join in with. As the year progresses, it is hoped to include some or all of the winners on this page.
The Arthur Bowers Landscape Competition. For slides of landscape pictures.
The Set Subject Competition.
Each year the Club is given a subject for members’ to produce pictures for. In 2007 the subject was “Texture”.

The Subject for 2008 is “Water”
Club Events Competition. This is for slides or prints photographed at any of the Club’s events. One of the events was a visit to Victoria Baths (of ‘Restoration’ fame) - see Club Events Gallery for a few pictures.
Related sets. This is for sets of six slides linked by a theme or topic chosen by the member. These sets are judged by an external judge and form the basis of a valuable part of “Photoview”
Slide and Print Folios. These boxes circulate amongst interested members, who appraise and mark each others’ pictures. The picture below won Mike Stephens Round 3 of the print folio (with 65.5 points).  Second was Margaret Marsden, and third was Ken Moore.
Extended Related Sets. Members produce a set of 12 slides on a theme or topic chosen by the member. This is an informal competition.
Audio-visual Competition. These are shows lasting up to 12 minutes, combining slides on two projectors with a synchronised soundtrack. They also form a part of Photoview.
Annual Print Competition. This is for larger colour or monochrome prints up to a maximum of 20” by 16” in size and form the print exhibition at “Photoview”. This year’s winning print was “Local Colour” See Photoview for this picture.
